The Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, 1st District (RC1) welcomes law students to apply for internships. While interns serve on a voluntary basis, supervisors are willing to complete the necessary paperwork so that students receive credits for work performed in the office. To apply for an internship please email your resume and cover letter to the circuit director in the circuit you are interested in working in. You can find this information listed below. You may also mail your information to the Circuit Director at the office indicated by an *asterisk. Please include the following in your cover letter:
- Which area you are interested in working – criminal or dependency (family)
- What law school you are attending and your expected year of graduation
- What semester you anticipate starting your internship
- Hours of availability
- If you are seeking course credit and have supervisory requirements with which our office must comply.
