The Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel, First DCA Region is seeking a full-time attorney in our Lake City, FL office who will be responsible for a mix of Criminal and Dependency case work.  The qualified applicant should have a basic understanding of Courtroom advocacy in Criminal Defense and Dependency and must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.  The Attorney will be required to represent clients in various types of court hearings, including jury trials, non-jury trials, motion practice, and should have the motivation and ability to cover cases on multiple dockets.  Such representation of clients would include client interviews, witness interviews, preparing witnesses for trial, research and writing legal documents and filings, participating in Mediations in Dependency matters, and providing an ongoing assessment of the merits of a case.  The position is a full time State of Florida position with attendant state benefits with a salary range commensurate with the successful applicant’s experience.
